Klara Kirsch (*1995) is a media and performance artist based in Berlin. She believes in the appropriation of pop cultural aesthetics, collage and role playing as strategies to deconstruct the mechanisms and human abysses of (post) capitalist systems. By detaching social and cultural phenomena from their context, her works give viewers the opportunity to reflect and reposition themselves in relation to them. Currently, she is focusing on how the commodification of private information, knowledge and desires is reflected in online hate speech and the entertainment industry. Having been trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance since childhood Klara’s practice is influenced by movement research and body memory. Besides her solo projects she regularly works as a duo with Milena Bühring and in changing group constellations such as the film collective FFF Film Productions.
